The Course ~ 12th Hole

542 Yards – Blue Tees – #4 Handicap Hole
530 Yards – White Tees – #4 Handicap Hole
410 Yards – Red/Gold Tees – #2 Handicap Hole

The 12th hole is a long par 5 with out-of-bounds the entire left side along the perimeter road, Route 173.  The hole is located between the perimeter road, Route 173, on the left and the 14th and 13th holes on the right. The undulating, tree lined fairway narrows significantly in the landing area once past the lateral hazard creek bed that crosses the fairway in front of the women’s tee.

The large two-tiered green, with the small shelf back left, slopes slightly from left to right and back to front. It is also bordered by a sand bunker on the right front.

Playing Tip:

If the longer hitters can land the ball in the fairway, the green can be reached with a long second shot and an eagle putt or two putt birdie may be in the offing. For the shorter or less accurate hitters, somtimes the club that you hit the straightest, rather than the driver, is the club to select in order to avoid the trees lining either side of the fairway. Following an accurate layup off the tee, a second shot to the more flat areas of the fairway around the 150 and 100 yard markers makes the green more accessible.
